What you can and can't do... (at least in this contest ;-)

The basic rule of this contest is for everyone to have fun!

General Rules

  1. All entries are to be completed by 30 June, 2012
  2. An entry is considered complete when you have registered the entry, and emailed me the 3-4 images you would like to appear on the entry page.
  3. As you are deciding what to enter, consider the 'Basic' Element(s) of your entry. The basic elements are Figure, Animal, and/or Vehicle and that is how the categories are arranged. If you only have one basic element like a horse then enter the Single category, if you have two basic elements then enter the Duet and more than 2 enter the Diorama category.
  4. Remember that this is for Marx action figures. An entry full of GI Joes, regardless of how cool, will be disqualified.
  5. You can enter a completely 'Original' figure or a customized figure / horse. The following customizations are Allowed:
    1. Any amount of paint anywhere on the figure or horse
    2. ReRooting of hair anywhere on the figure or horse
    3. Non-Marx produced head or hands / gloves
    4. Non-Marx produced accessories
    5. Non-Marx produced vehicles (period accuracy will be judged)
  6. Submitted photos and descriptions will be posted on the internet.
  7. Online votes will be tallied to determine the winner for each category.
  8. The winning entries for each category and name of submitter will be posted to this site within two weeks of completing the voting process.

Best Figure Basic Figure or Horse bodies have to be vintage Marx, reissue, or CXR. Parts may be interchanged from other Marx type figures. Body paint is allowed. Custom heads and accessories are encouraged. Entries will be evaluated on originality, difficulty, artistic skill and uniqueness
Best Duet At least one of the two major items has to be vintage Marx, reissue, or CXR. Parts may be interchanged from other Marx type figures. Body paint is allowed. Custom heads and accessories are encouraged. Entries will be evaluated on originality, difficulty, artistic skill and uniqueness. Examples include a cowboy and his horse, a wagon and driver, a wagon and horse, a Marx figure riding a motorcycle, you get the idea.
Best Diorama At least two of the two major items has to be vintage Marx, reissue, or CXR. Parts may be interchanged from other Marx type figures. Body paint is allowed. Custom heads and accessories are encouraged. Entries will be evaluated on originality, difficulty, artistic skill and uniqueness. Examples include a Western town, a Saloon, a Wagon with driver and horses, you get the idea.
