The Box

Great Job Marx! Sticking with the new "Special Collector's Edition" box, Marx does not disappoint too much. The box cardboard could be thicker (several of the boxes I received were damaged) but they did make the end flaps larger and used two pieces of tape to secure. My other complaint is that they still only used one twist tie to secure the figure. This combined with the thin cardboard and heavy weight of the figure usually means that ole Cedric will be 'floating' around inside when you get him.

The Set

Overall great! Armor and weapons come packaged in sealed factory bags. Box is good for display but the picture is very dark (under exposed?).

The Figure

Wow!
The rivets are recessed and the armor goes on nicely.

The head is well painted. The body is a nice black unlike the original Cedric's dark blue. Also his hair is now a much duller black instead of the shiny black of Sir Stuart or Sam Cobra. The plastic of the body is a little lighter than the original plastic. But I think is will hold up nicely to play. The hands and head are made from a softer, more pliable, plastic.

The Face

Same mold as Sir Stuart. Unlike the original Sir Cedric that had a reddish skin tone, This knight has caucasian skin and a very dull black, well painted, hair and beard

The Accessories

Marx did a great job in producing this armor. Only a couple of nits to pic...

Details:
Plastic is a little harder than original armor. This is a mixed blessing, It looks more like metal but the tab/slots are prone to break. Be Careful, be Very Careful.
Mold Flash can be found on a lot of the pieces. You may need an exacto knife to 'clean' up the armor before assembling.
The Pennant. A dissapointment here... Marx kept with the cardboard banner versus the original style of a sticker. Oh well - minor nit.
